10.5" Heavy Duty Clutch Cover

These SFI rated units will take up to 350 b.h.p. and are suitable for Fast Road and Competition use.

The standard flywheel will require re-drilling or use the pre-drilled Steel Billet unit.

Flywheels

Rover V8 Steel Billet Flywheel

Steel Billet Flywheel drilled to accept 9.5, 10.4 & 10.5" Diameter Clutch Assemblies.

These are premium grade SFI spec units and are complete with ring gear.

If using a 9.5" diameter clutch (STD 2WD) clutch locating dowels should be used. The dowels are not included and suitable holes drilled into the flywheel will be required to accept.

10.5 & 10.4" Clutches use Special Shouldered 3/8" UNC Bolts which do not require dowels.

9.5" Clutch uses 5/16" UNC Bolts and not UNF as per the standard Rover V8 2WD flywheel. P.B Blackman 2019

Rover V8 Steel Billet Lightweight Flywheel for V& 2WD applications.

Dual Drilled for 9.5" and 10.5" UK clutch assemblies.
Clutch Location Dowels Supplied


American made clutches, Chevrolet Clutches are similar but not the same to UK spec clutches and some machining may be required to fit.

Why have a lightweight flywheel?

 (a) If 1kg is removed from the flywheel, in first gear this equates to about 40 kg removed from the chassis.
This will not have the same effect in higher gears. However if higher acceleration in the lower gears is wanted a super lightweight flywheel will do the job.

(b) Being about 1/3rd the weight of a standard flywheel will allow the engine to spin up faster with reduced inertia giving more power to the wheels. Potential energy (kinetic) is not stored in the flywheel.

These are premium grade units and are complete with integral ring gear.
Drilled for 9.5" diameter clutch (STD 2WD) with clutch locating dowels .
9.5" Clutch uses M8 Bolts and not UNF as per the standard Rover V8 2WD flywheel.

Note : The centre bore of these flywheels is machined to enable a tight fit over the crankshaft mounting boss. This is intentional to prevent potential flywheel in balance as per the factory flywheels. P.B Blackman 2019
